Oompa-Loompa, Spiderman And The Teletubby Tinky Winky Held After Brawl

2009, May 20th

TeletubbiesViolence flared at the Welcome Family Holiday Park in coastal resort of Dawlish, Devon, on Sunday during a fancy dress themed evening.

Up to 20 inebriated holidaymakers in costumes clashed at around 1am in the camp’s clubhouse.

Police were called to the scene after two members of staff were assaulted.

The man dressed as an Oompa-Loompa character from the film Charlie and the Chocolate Factory, is thought to be a 47-year-old father.

He and two others were kept in police cells overnight after being questioned on suspicion of violent disorder.

A staff member at the holiday park told The Sun newspaper: “It was rather comical in some ways because of the fancy dress costumes people were wearing.

“You don’t expect to see Teletubby Tinky Winky and Spiderman in the middle of things like this.”

He added: “It was a case of too much booze being knocked back and then something happened which kicked things off.”

There were no serious injuries.

A Devon and Cornwall police spokesman said alleged culprits were identified “by what they were wearing”.

Charla Muller Gives Husband A Year’s Worth Of Sex For His 40th Birthday

2009, May 20th

A US woman has written a book about the unusual gift she gave her husband for his 40th birthday – 365 nights of sex.

High-flying PR exec Charla Muller, from North Carolina, hit upon the idea for her salesman husband Brad, now 42, and has written a book about the year.

Here’s some of the excerpts printed in The Sun:

“When I offered my husband sex every day for a year to celebrate his 40th birthday he literally fell over. After hearing the words, Brad slipped on a toy on the floor and landed with a thud. As I had spent so long thinking about an exciting present that I thought he would love, I was confident he would say yes. But to my astonishment, Brad refused my offer. He said: “It’s a great idea, I just don’t think you really mean it.”

Being intimate at night meant we worked better as a couple during the day. Our house ran better because we were more agreeable. Having sex regularly made me start looking around, wondering who else was getting good loving. Is it the good-looking women or the regular mums – like me?

2009, Mar 3rd

Megan Fox ToplessLos Angeles, Calif. – “Transformers” hottie Megan Fox is taking her career to Western and underwater frontiers.

Fox is in final negotiations to join Josh Brolin and John Malkovich in “Jonah Hex,” Warner Bros.’ action Western based on the DC Comics character. She also is attached to star in and develop “Fathom,” Fox Atomic’s comic book-based underwater adventure.

In “Hex,” Fox will play Leila, a gun-wielding beauty and love interest of Hex (Brolin), a scarred bounty hunter tracking a voodoo practitioner (Malkovich) who wants to raise an army of undead to liberate the South. The movie is preparing for a shoot in April, with Jimmy Hayward directing.

She next appears in this summer’s “Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen,” and stars in the Diablo Cody-penned comedic supernatural thriller movie “Jennifer’s Body,” which opens in the fall. She recently appeared in the comedy “How to Lose Friends and Alienate People.”

Calif. Video Game Law Ruled Unconstitutional

2009, Feb 26th

Video GamesLos Angeles, Calif. – A U.S. appeals court ruled Friday that a California law restricting the sales and rental of violent video games to minors and imposing labeling requirements is too restrictive and violates free speech guarantees.

The Ninth U.S. Circuit Court of Appeals found that the labeling requirement unfairly forces video games to carry “the state’s controversial opinion” about which games are violent.

The unanimous opinion by a three-judge panel could have a far-reaching impact on efforts by other states to establish mandatory video game labeling requirements.

The court upheld a lower court finding that California lawmakers failed to produce evidence that violent video games cause psychological or neurological harm to children.

Dallas Starts Lingerie Football League

2009, Feb 18th

LFL LogoDallas, Tx. — What is the LFL you ask?

It’s an extension of the immensely successful pay-per-view special that, much to the chagrin of the NFL, runs in direct competition to the ballyhooed and often disappointing Super Bowl half-time extravaganza put on by the boy’s league each winter.

To further explain it … it’s simply models in lingerie playing 7-on-7 tackle football against other similarly steamy-named teams.

On Friday, the girls went through traditional football drills like passing, catching and secondary coverage — they even ran some 40-yard sprints. The combine concluded with a short scrimmage to test the girls in game situations.

“It’s real football, but it’s just played by beautiful women.
